Light and Portable
The Sony HDR-TG1 a true statement, both as an innovation in camcorder technology and as a demonstration that these gadgets don't have to just be functional, they can be stylish too. The HDR-TG1 is an exceptionally small, full-HD camcorder and can also take 4-megapixel digital photos, recording everything to Sony's Memory Stick media cards. The diminutive size and lightweight, titanium body make it extremely easy to carry and thus makes it more likely that you will carry it and record more video. The HDR-TG1 will be available on May 30th.

Seemingly Endless Capacity
The Sony HDR-SR12 is an exciting new hard disk drive camcorder. It has a capacity of 120GB, the most currently available on a digital camcorder. That means you can shoot up to 15 hours of high-definition video without having to worry about running out of space. The HDR-SR12 also has an excellent still-photo mode, which allows you to take 10-megapixel digital photographs while making full use of the camera's 12x optical zoom. If this camera is a little too rich for your blood, perhaps you'd want to consider the Sony HDR-SR11, which reduces the hard disk capacity to 60GB and reduces the price by about $200. That's not a whole lot of savings, really, but every little bit helps.

Records to Three Different Media
The Sony HDR-UX20 is fairly unique in design. It's perhaps the only camcorder that has three separate ways to store recorded video: to an 3-inch mini DVD, internal 8GB hard disk drive, or removable Memory Stick flash card. It's a wonder they didn't slap an MiniDV tape on this thing, too. This isn't a hybrid, it's a tri-brid. The HDR-UX20 records in full 1920 x 1080 high-definition resolution, and would make a perfect addition to your HD living room. Watch your family memories on the big-screen HDTV. The Sony HDR-UX10 is essentially the same camera, although without the 8GB hard disk drive (which drops the price about $200).
