how can i transfer video directly to my computer (w/o inserting the dvd)? USB?

I have a macbook pro and it won't accept mini dvds. only full size. Other cameras allow usb transfer AND/OR dvd.

You can get miniDVD adapters which "fill out" the remaining needed DVD space. They're about $10 from Amazon.
