What method are you using to upload to windows movie maker; ie are you going to capture from a device, and following the steps from there or using another method? There aren't any drivers for the camcorders, so your computer should automatically detect it (does your computer detect that something has indeed been plugged in?). If its not detecting it, you may want to try either using a different USB port to plug it into your computer, or try using a firewire cable instead.

Try updating your Windows window maker and downloading all the plug ins, etc. Its possible that the file type is unreadable for your version of Windows Movie Maker.
