GL2 Best Bar None.
(Francis Josey - 4/19/06)I work as a pro and have for 17 years and have co-workers who own other prosumers and none of the others (JVC,Sony,Panasonic) have equal sound or image quality, and cannot match the GL2's features or capabilities. I have read hundreds of reviews obviously written by people who have either never actually used this camera, or are biased against Canon. One final point. My supervisor purchased a Sony PD-170 the same week that I got the GL2. I use my camera far more than he uses his, and under far more abusive environments and although his Sony has been repaired twice in three years, my GL2 has yet to let me down. My old Canon L2 was fixed 3 times and My Sony VX-1000 has never failed me. I think Canon has created a powerhouse that beats-em-all. If you own a GL2, Play with non-interlaced mode at shutter speeds above 10,000 FPS, It's amazing, but make sure you have lots of light.
