To my knowledge, and I double checked with specs online you need a male to female cable. You'll need the 3 prong type.. I'm not sure if there are others... but just to clarify. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Thanks Aditya. I'm surprised a cable is'nt included with the mic as this mike is meant for camera mounting. I see 18" and up when about 6" or 8" is enough—what is called in construction, a "pigtail". You really helped with the male to female issue. I wasn't sure how the mic was configured.

Yeah, with most cameras, camcorders, TVs, printers, basically all electronics, the cables are never sold with the accessories. It helps save money for the manufacturer and make money for the retail stores selling them. Glad I could help.
