How to UNLOCK the DVstd

My setup 1 is DV and so is my setup2, however it says that my DV STD is LOCKED, how do I unlock it? The moment I cinnect the firewire to the computer, the PLAYBACK STD shows --- ie: no access. I am using XP and Movie Maker. Please help

Well, your problem is probably that Movie Maker doesn't support HD on the XP platform. This may change with SP3, which is coming out now. But you'll probably need to use another editor like Adobe Premiere Elements to handle the load.

Well thanks for getting me to think of movie maker and HD. Yesit does support it but onehas to change the setting to HD/PAL in my case and this did the trick

You'll then have to reencode it back to NTSC though.
