I can't get my iMac to even recognize the Canon hv20.

I'm a new iMac (and MAC) user. I can't get my Mac to recognize the Canon HV20. Are there any settings that I need to change on the camera? I've tried iPhoto, iMovie and iDVD

I'm guessing if you have an iMac, it doesn't have an intel processor, correct? I think only the newer MacBooks have them. Anyway, for most of the new High Def stuff you're going to need an intel processor to recognize the camcorder and edit the footage.
