It should still connect, depending on if you have an HDMI connection in the monitor, you may have to go HDMI to DVI. Even though your computer monitor is 16:10, the image displayed will still retain its 16:9 characteristics, unless you force it to stretch by using an editing program. If you're viewing full screen you'll see some black areas on the left and right side, but other than that it should work just fine without any distortion.
