was just fine until I needed it and it has a black screen
( - 12/9/05)I bought the ZR70 1.5 years ago. I didn't take out the extended warranty because I take care of my stuff. The extended warranties are usually a way of somply getting more money. I needed the camera recently and noticed a black screen only. Of course I couldn't use it and found out about the CCD issue. Canon said they will fix it for free, but I will not be recording Christmas this year.
