I have a question about transferring a 1 minute recording from cassette to memory card.

In the manual , it is said that I can load a 10 second recording or a 30 second recording based on image size to an 8 MB memory card. If I have a memory card of sufficient size can I copy a recording of 1 minute to the memory card.

Perhaps not. The issue may be firmware which was written when the memory cards were much smaller. You may want to check with CanonUSA.com about a firmware update. If there is, then you have a chance.

Thanks James what i did do was put them on my pc in 10.4 sec segments then combined all 5 after downloading WinDV. I'm going to check with Canon also.
