It doesn't. It doesn't save to SDMMC at all. It records the still to tape.

Thanks. A photo shop also told me that all video goes to tape also, not to card.

Wrong, wrong, wrong!

The MC in ZR70MC stands for multimedia card. It does save to card (hence the switch for "tape" or "card"). You can save still photos AND jpeg videos (max of 10 seconds). The largest capacity is 2gb, since it cannot use SDHC. The transition point is 4gb -- anything above is SDHC and below is either SD or MMC. I have heard of a standard SD 4gb card, but do not know who makes it.

No, there's no such thing as a 4GB card. 2GB is the ceiling for SD cards.

WHAT? NO 4GB cards? where do you live, in mars? There are up to 16 GB SD cards now. Not many products can use it, usually limits for most are up to 4GB, but if the device supports it, then you can use up to 16GB in a single SD card.
