what cables used for connection to computer monitor?

Depends on the monitor and if it has direct connections via the standard "RCA" or s-Video connections, then you can go directly. But you will only be able to watch the video. If editing is your aim, you'll want to connect it to your computer via the ieee 1394 (aka firewire) cable. You can then also view it as well.
