Editors' Comments
The Canon ZR950 is their top of the line entry-level camcorder. It pairs widescreen 16:9 MiniDV video recording with SD/SDHC still recording and a nice 48x advanced zoom functionality to produce a versatile, usable beginner's camera. The lens includes image stabilization to reduce blur from camera shake, and an "Easy Mode" that lets the camera choose the best possible settings for your current situation—a great addition for those new to shooting video. It also records still photos, and includes 9-point autofocus and other still-centric features. The large LCD screen swings 90 degrees horizontally, and rotates 270 degrees vertically, meaning you can always find a comfortable viewing angle. In all, this is a fine and inexpensive choice for getting started with videography.

Canon ZR950 Camcorder Review
Not up to Snuff
The Canon ZR950 unfortunately does not live up to the excellent reputation of the brand, with sub-par video quality that makes this budget camcorder not really worth what little money it costs.
