I just purchased a Creative Vado HD and I cannot for the life of me upload the movies to imovie. Can anyone help me?

When I insert the camera into the USB port iPhoto opens and immediately asks if I want to import the movies. I have imported the movies to iPhoto hoping I could then move them to iMovie. This does not work. I then read something about copying the files to my hard drive. I did this and when I play them and I can only hear audio, there is no video (And I cannot import to iMovie). I can't for the life of me find anything on the internet explaining how to use the product with a Mac. I was ignorant to the fact that some of these products might work better with Macs and some with PC's. I thought we all got along now. Anyways, if anyone has a step by step process for importing Creative Vado HD film into my iMovie program that would be great.

Thank You.

If you have Leopard, then iMovie supports USB. You'll need to upgrade both your OS and iMovie to `08 in order to import using USB.

As for moving them over and importing them from your hard drive, try MPEG Streamclip can re-encode them into a more editable format.
