For budget camcorders, its hard to ignore a camcorder that costs around $150 and delivers near DVD quality MPEG4 recording capability. Shooting 640x480 video onto an SD or MMC memory cards, the DXG-572V also can take still shots at slightly over 5 megapixels. Easily uploads video to websites like YouTube. It can even function as a voice recorder. It may not make for a primary camcorder, but the price makes it ideal for a backup or even an extreme sports camera that can take abuse with nary a tear.
