How can you get the footage you shot with JVC GZ MC200 in HD, from AVCHD?

I know the footage that you record with JVC GZ Mc200 gets converted to AVCHD. How can I get the files as HD and not AVCHD?

Thanks!

AVCHD IS HD. It's a Sony HD Codec. Most video editors now support it. I prefer Adobe Premiere Elements, though. But you'll be using Image Mixer software to get it off your camcorder and then you can import it into your video editor.
