Like most of the Everio hard drive camcorders, the MG555 sports a 30GB hard drive for up to 37 hours of video recording. Unlike the others, it has a 5MP camera CCD, the largest offered in its class. That translates into sharper images and better stills for enlarging. Users can also burn directly to DVD at the touch of a button, back up to PC again, at the touch of a button, and use high capacity Secure Digital flash memory cards. It also has a 10x Optical Zoom, 16:9 widescreen capability, auxiliary mic input and image stabilization. Photo Functions including Auto Exposure Bracketing and a built-in video light that also doubles as an Auto Flash.
