can you use it for broadcast television?

i'm shooting for a broadcast television station www.tvmoda.it satellight tv. i would like to know if such a camera can indeed broadcast on a ditital satellight television staton.

Video quality, sure. It'll work to a point. But it only shoots in 720p. Audio wise, well, it's not all that great which as is expected from a pocket camera. But I've used it to shoot short videos for the internet and the video quality isn't bad for that.

But I wouldn't be shooting something for NBC anytime soon.

I'm sure for iReport on CNN it would be fine. But I wouldn't use it to film any real reports. You should get a camera that's built for that.

Oh, absolutely. Then again, if you were shooting in an area where you knew the camera could get trashed, it's a pretty good trade-off. And it would be a great camera for kids just learning to shoot video.
