2009's New High-Definition Camcorders!

These high-definition camcorders from Sony, Panasonic, and Canon are set to debut in the next few months. They're packed with outstanding featured and extraordinary quality; enough power to take truly excellent high-def videos that will leave audiences stunned. They're expensive, but as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. And if you can pay for one of these camcorders, what you'll get is the best there is.

Canon HFS10

from $999.00
The Canon Vixia HFS10 is the pinnacle of Canon's HD offerings for 2009. This high-end, high-priced camcorder provides video recording in full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) in a compact, portable body. The HFS10 is very streamlined, thanks to its use of lightweight, unobtrusive internal memory. The 32GB internal flash drive is resistant to shocks and shakes, and can hold up to 12 hours of high-definition video at a time. If that proves insufficient, a Secure Digital HC slot allows for additional video to be stored on removable memory cards.

Sony HDR-XR500V

from $984.99
The Sony HDR-XR500V is another big gun, this time equipped with an internal 120GB hard disk drive. That's an insane amount of storage space for this HD camcorder; you'll never have to worry about running out of space for your precious videos ever again. The XR500V can also shoot 12-megapixel still photos, as well, making it a very versatile camera in addition to its video capabilities.

Full HD, Huge Hard Drive

Panasonic HS300

from $1,099.95
The Panasonic HS300 won't be overshadowed, however, as it's also packing a substantial 120GB hard disk drive. The HS300 is a serious camcorder meant for serious users, so novice and casual shoppers may want to look elsewhere (as if the price tag hadn't already scared them off). The HS300 is a full HD video camcorder and 10-megapixel still camera, and contains enough features and settings to keep even knowledgeable folks busy learning the ins and outs of the device.
