HD writer for HDC-SD3 panasonic camera

I owned HDC-SD3 panasonic camera purchased from Japan. The only problem i am facing is with the HD writer as it is in Japanese. Can any one help me on this. I think english version of HDC-SD5 would do. If any one have this please inform me.

I'm not sure what you're asking here. Do you want to replace the Japanese firmware of your camera with English firmware? If so, I'd recommend talking to Panasonic about that. It's possible, though some functions and features may rendered inoperative as a result.

And you need to be dead on sure because if you're wrong, you can easily brick your camera/writer.

Dear James;

i would like to have an english version of the HD writer. the current verssion for HDC-SD3 is V1.5J but in japanese ofcourse. new model is panasonic SD5 using V2 i would like to know that if anyone have the english version of HD writer.
Even if englissh version of older model SD1 is available i think it will also help.
Or plz suggest any alternative or other software which can run AVHCD files .MTS

I assume you're talking about firmware. You're best bet would be to talk to Panasonic directly about this. Otherwise you run the risk of bricking your unit and voiding your warranty. But if there's a US equivalent, it's quite possible the english firmware will work.
