Editors' Comments
Aside from the ridiculous 52x optical zoom (65x "intelligent" zoom, some kind of optical/digital hybrid), the F40 is a regular ol' standard-def camcorder. This thing doesn't have image stabilization, so you'll need to use a tripod to get a good telescopic shot--the tiniest hand wiggle will turn the 52x shots into a blurry mess. The F40 is the same camera as the F44, without the 16GB built-in flash memory and for $100 cheaper.

Samsung SMX-F40 Comments & Questions (write your own!)
I have talked to Samsung Customer Support (that's another bad review for another day) several times and they finally want me to send it in for repairs. I'm just going to return it and buy something else.
Meanwhile, Check out the Canon Vixia line. Very high quality video cameras.
