Samsung's K-series camcorders are attractive, standard-definition camcorders capable of shooting in widescreen and up-scaling their video to "near full-HD" through the built-in HDMI cable. The K45 can record up to 20 hours of video on 32GB of internal flash memory. A closely related camcorder, the K40, is $100 cheaper and records only to removable memory cards, and has no internal memory.

The Samsung SMX-U10 is a new pocket camcorder that goes head-to-head with the Flip Ultra and Kodak Zx1. The U10 can (allegedly) do full 1080p video and 10-megapixel still photos. That's big talk; whether it can back it up with real quality isn't clear.
