Does it playback in full screen or with side bars on a 1080x1920 HDTV since it has only 720x1280?

I have been researching this camcorder. One question, though. does the camcorder of 720x1280 resolution play back at full screen on HDTV with 1080x1920 pixels? Based on the number of pixels, it seems to me that the playback can only fill 44% of the pixels on a full HDTV screen if not stretched. In other words, are there any side bars when paying back or it is pre-stretched to the full screen proportionally? I hate those black side bars and pictures stretched non-proportionally.

Yes, The unit plays back in full wide screen HD. The quality dirct from the camera is excellent! If you burn on to DVD with included Ulead software you lose someof that quaiity due to thelimitations of the DVD. I use for recording College football games and with the 1.6 telephoto attachment get amazing close ups from the top of the press box. You should only use Turbo 150X media as this provides for maximum frame/sec speeds with no distortion.
