which is the professional editing software for Sanyo Xacti HD 1080 Camcorder for presentation?

Well, it largely depends on your OS. If PC - then Adobe Premiere CS 3 is the editor of choice for me. Although many are happy with Sony's Vegas Video. For MAC - Final Cut Pro is the choice of Hollywood professionals.

Understand though that even though the Xacti records in HD, the wrap is that the image quality isn't all that great since it encodes in MPEG-4 - which is a great standard for downloading internet video, but for source video it's VERY compressed. You will then have to recompress it once you're editing is done. Making it suffer again.

I use MAGIX edit pro 14 for most of my editing, and, even though customer service is questionable, the software for the most part stands on its own and will even make your HD DVd (or Blur-ray) if you have the correct disk drive. You may want to research that software considering the limitations of the video being shot by this camera.
