Camcorders under $250
You can get a solid camcorder in this price range. Most use MiniDV tapes, and don't have fancy features found on more expensive models. Oddly, this lower price range tends to have models with amazing 32x optical zooms. These cameras may not perform as well in low light, and tend to be small.
