Making a Movie

I purchased the SR80 at Best Buy when the salesperson said I could load the files into Movie Maker for editing. To this date, I have not been able to accomplish this task. Since the recorder makes MPEG files and Movie Maker takes AVI and WMV files, I need to figure out have to get around it.
The camera itself if fun to use with its touch screen and dated mpeg files. If you want to just take pictures and burn to a dvd without editing or titles, this camera is great. Remember to narrate while filming and you will be set.
There is an "Easy" setting that lets you point and shot, or you can get fancy. I am still learning about the camera.
Burning a DVD directly from the camera is great.
