Well you can get USB cables just about anywhere, including from SONY. Best Buy, Circuit City, http://www.cablesforless.com. All over.

What makes you think it' so different? If it has a standard USB on one in and a smaller one on the other, that's pretty standard for camcorders/cameras. Then again, we must always contend with SONYs obsession with proprietary technology. But I think in this instance, it's probably a standard USB cable for a camera.

Wait, you're telling me that this camera has no USB or Firewire hookup? I find that hard to believe. Particularly when the specs say it has USB 2.0 capability. And it comes with a standard 4 pin miniB USB cable (page 8 of the manual).
Do a google search for Sony miniB USB 2.0 cable and you'll find plenty.

It sounds to me like both Karim and Chen-Shu have been saddled with "gray market" cameras. These are usually sold with no manual and no accessories. And the biggest surprise - no warranty. So beware.

I understand that. The one's on eBay will work on either the SR80 or SR60. As for the Cybershot, apologies for that. I kinda zoned out there.
And while it's true that a warranty doesn't cover missing parts, if you bought this Grey Market, you have NO warranty chances are.

It sounds like you need the Handycam Station model number DCRA-C162. This is a base that connects to the botton connector of the DCR-SRxx Handycam and provides a standard USB mini-B port.

Hi! I purchased one also without a docking station or anything. And James I do have a warranty just so that you know. I purchased it from Sears as a display model but they lost the docking station and everything else. I called Sony and the docking station for the sr80 only cost $69.99 US plus 7 dollars shipping. I would not recomend buying them from ebay because they are coming from China and they are cheaper from Sony. If anyone can find it any cheaper let me know. Also has anyone ever tried to bypass the docking station?? I am still looking before I break down and buy it from Sony. Thanks
