CCD Failure within 18 months
( - 12/20/05)I was extremely happy with this model when i got it initially. It took excellent photographs and also the auto focussing was just amazing. The life of the CCD was very short and i had to go for another CCD within 18 months of its purchase. I had used it very sparingly and after some period, it started showing hazy green and red spots..and eventually the display died out. I had to shell out $200 to get this repaired. Hope the Sony is able to fix this...at least in this model..!!
