Editors' Comments

The Sony DCR-TRV33 has specs that are very similar to the Sony PC105, but is slightly larger and offers more traditional horizontal styling. Good automatic controls and a variety of manual options will please home movie makers, but the TRV33's limited low light performance makes this camcorder best suited for daytime use. read more

This is a solid budget camcorder, but its night-shooting capabilities can't quite match those of its siblings (CNET - 12/4/03)

The Sony TRV33 offers "excellent" video quality as long as it has sufficient light, but its low light performance lags behind its predecessor, the TRV22. Nonetheless, the TRV33 is a solid camcorder with an impressive image stabilization system. read original review
