BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Camera worked great for first 2 years...4 kids worth of a LOT of video!!! Problem began with screen flickering and getting distorted during recording, then we were faced with the irreversable BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH!!! After reviewing the net today 1/24/06, found out this is a "recallable" repair from Sony. Called them at 1-866-703-7669 today. They are sending me a UPS shipping label to send my camera in to be repaired FREE OF CHARGE!!!!! They are going to replace the CCD sensor which has malfunctioned. They claim that I should have my camera back within 14 days of receiving it at the repair shop in Texas. So far, we are hopeful. Sounds like we're getting a better deal than most with this camera.
