That's not an uncommon problem. When you come out with a new .0 version of an OS, chances are it's going to break connectivity with a lot of stuff in the very beginning. Something similar happened to me when OSX came out and I couldn't use my JVC anymore. I ended up selling it on Ebay and buying a new Canon ZR60. Was very happy with the outcome.
The irony is, that according to SONY, you're camera SHOULD be compatible with the Vista OS!
Chances are, it'll be awhile before a new driver is written for your camera, if at all. Frankly, it's just too old. And we're talking SONY here. Mac users are still waiting for drivers to be written for NEW cameras, much less old ones.
But if Sony does, you'll find them here.
