When i record in full HD 1920 x 1080 video the video has line around moving objects

I had another question about quality. When i record in full HD 1920 x 1080 video and play it back on my computer anything that is moving on the video leaves trail lines. It basically looks grainy, choppy and lines around moving objects. When i use lower quality settings it goes away. Is this a broken camera or just my computer? I am playing it back with the software provided by sony.

It's possible that it's your computer. Have you tried watching on an HDTV?

It's important to remember that video is a bandwidth hog - even more so with HD. So, if you haven't upgraded your computer to handle HD, it's very easy to get stuttering, artifacting, and the issues you describe. And since you have no issues in lower quality, that tells me quite simply that you need to boost your RAM, Video RAM and maybe even your Processor in order to handle the HD stream.
