The Sony HDR-UX1 brings High Definition to the DVD camcorder market, and maybe into your home. In addition to high-quality 1080 HD video capture, the HDR-UX1 also has a lovely 4-megapixel digital still mode (which writes to an optional Memory Stick). The HDR-UX1 is a unique opportunity to have the ease and familiarity of a DVD camcorder coupled with the stunning quality of High Definition video.
Please note that the camera writes to standard DVDs, and not the new HD-DVD format, which may result in some loss of quality, but should still look above-average.
