The Sony Handycam HDR-XR520V is a high definition camcorder with a 240GB built-in hard disk drive for file storage. Record up to 96 hours of high definition video in HD LP mode; or record to removable Memory Stick Pro Duo. It captures videos at 1920x1080 and still photos at a full 12.1 megapixels. This camcorder features a 1/2.88-inch Exmor R CMOS sensor with ClearVid array for highly detailed footage with excellent response time and low noise. The sensor is back-illuminated for performance even in low light conditions. Other features include a built-in GPS receiver that helps you track your shooting locations, a professional quality Sony G-lens (12x optical/ 150x digital zoom) with extra-low dispersion glass, a 3.2-inch touch LCD display, Optical Steady Shot image stabilization, Dolby 5.1 channel recording with a built-in zoom microphone, and a separate .27-inch adjustable color viewfinder for shooting with the LCD closed.
