Is th Canon 1000D good for begginers new to DSLR Wildlife photography rather than the Nikon D60?

I want to know which camera is better for wildlife shots with really good photo quality and settings.

Both are good options. As far as photo quality ... the key is the lenses. But frankly, it's a horse race.
