Is it possible to attach hand strap on 400D?

I just got my 400D yesterday. There was a flier inside the box recommending different accessories. Among other (flashes, battery grip) I found a hand strap. I havent seen it anywhere else, there is also no place on the lower part of the camera to attach it, but since this is an official promotional material, I guess it could be attached in some way. Is it possible, or is the information in the flier a mistake?

Check the instruction manual, page 22 according to the one I found on Canon's website. It says there is a 'strap mount eyelet' on the camera, and from the drawing it looks like it's on one of the top corners of the camera body.

If you buy the battery grip, it will add a spot to attach the hand strap.

you are wrong, the hand strap comes with n attachment that conects to the tripod mount at the bottom, then the other part on the cameras normal neck strap, you then attach your neck strap to the otherside of the underpart of the new hand grip and the other side of the camera as normal :p

there is also a new hole for tripod mounts
