From the 30D to the 40D, probably not. And also no for the 40D to the 50D. But from the 30D to the 50D, absolutely.

I was hoping a more detailed anwers as I am in the market for either one of the three (Canon 30D, 40D or 50D)

If you don't already own one of the cameras, the best balance between features and cost is probably the 40D.

I have got two answers from the same person none of which has helpful enough. I am in the market for one of the 3 cameras mentioned (Canon 30D, 40D, 50D) but no one has been why one is almost two times as high in price as the other.
