how do you download pictures onto card? a friend let me hold his camera and didn't give me the instructions

i don't know how how to get the pitures onto the card. he didn't give me instructions

Onto the card? I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do. If you are trying to save photos when you shoot, they should save to the card automatically. If you are trying to get them off the card onto a computer, it will be a matter of either using a card reader, or else hooking the camera up to the computer via USB. Also, if he didn't give you the cables that you need to plug it into the computer, maybe try and invest in a compact flash memory card reader for the computer, they're not very expensive.
