John,

When purchasing the "Body Only" option with the Canon 30D or any other DSLR, you will not receive a lens. You have to purchase those seperately.

"PC Body" means a plastic body. This is not the Standard version of the Canon 30D, but an international economy plastic version.

Called the sales dep. of an on line store selling a canon 30d for $350. Here is the deal. It is fully customizable. Not only don't you get a battery or cables, it has no firmware or many other electronic parts you need to even operate the camera. It would cost at least $750 more just to operate the camera. I was spoken to like an idiot for thinking I could buy the functioning camera for that price even though the add says nothing about this and gives you the specs. we all want in our 30d. He offered me a good price for the "retail model" but there is no way I would buy from those a holes.

USA PHOTO NATION .COM APPARENTLY IS A SCAMMERS-SCAM OF SCAMMING WHEN IT COMES TO "CANON EOS 40D" listed at $349, just dont try to buy it, otherwise they treat you like and idiot, insist that this "Chinese" Version of the camera wont work with anything but what they sell, no battery, cables, paperwork, nothing, they dont tell you that its "PLASTIC", just that no other lenses work with it and you have to WAIT 4-6 weeks, while the ONLNE-ADD say's its available ! Liar's - False advertising - plus they hang up on you if you insist on getting more details or try to order it. Someone needs to put companies like this out of business for being theifts and Bait-n-switch CON Artists.

I tried to buy a Canon EOS 40D at usaphotonation.com I wanted the package deal with a lens and memory card included. Typically from a reputable retailer when you buy a package deal you get the camera body (which typically includes the body, battery, battery charger, interface card, interface cable, software, and users manual) It turns out at usaphotonation the camera body part of the package does not include the battery, battery charger, interface card, interface cable, software, or users manual. The camera body they are selling can not be operated as is. Also the camera body is plastic instead of metal. After placing an order they send you an email to call customer service. Customer service is really a high pressure salesman that tries to convince you that you are stupid and that a camera body never includes the battery, battery charger, interface card, interface cable, software, or users manual, which is simply not true. They are using a bait and switch scam to get you to buy a camera from them. Don't do it!

I tried to buy the CANON SD870is from the online store "86TH STREET PHOTO AND VIDEO" wich is a TOTAL FRAUD. This store almost always has the lowest price and they say that the product is available, be careful that is not true. After you place the order the send you an email to call their customer service to confirm the order, and an stupid representative try to convince you to buy many things that you don't need just to make you spent a lot of money, and if you don't buy anything they tell you...the camera is out of stock and you may have to wait 5 to 6 weeks. Then every 3 or 4 days they send you emails to make you cancel the order....THAT STORE IS A FRAUD...REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE STORE "86TH STREET PHOTO AND VIDEO". And if you call the custpmer service and you try to ask any question, they just hang up on you!!
DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!

I totally agree with what is being said about "86th Street Photo and Video". On Sunday I called them to order a Cannon S5-IS camera and boy were they ready to sell me one, that is until I would not buy any of the other many items they tried to sell me. Then I was put on hold for about 5 minutes and when they came back on they would not take an order because they would not have any in stock until Wed. or Thursday so I would have to call back then. I asked them if I couldn't go ahead and place my order and they could ship it when they arrived so that I would be assured of getting the current price? I was told no that I would have to call back during the week and I was assured that the price would be the same. I called back the next Wed. and was told "Why sure we can place your order." and "We don't know why they wouldn't take your order on Sunday but we can take care of you right now." In this time their price had gone from $249 on Sunday to $279 on Wed. The rep told me that sure they would honor the earlier price and what did I want besides the camera? When I told him nothing he put me on hold and I waited for 10 minutes for him to come back which he did not. I called them back and again said I would like to buy a Canon S5-IS, again they were ready to sell me one until I told them I had just been left on hold for 10 minutes. This time they just hung up on me. Later in the day I tried again and without saying anything about what had happened earlier
I again asked if they had the Canon S5-IS for sale, I was told of course they did. He started to take my information and when he got to asking for my credit card info, I asked him again about the price I was quoted earlier and got promptly hung up on again. DON'T BUY FROM THEM THEY ARE A VERY BIG RIP OFF!!!!!
