Training on 50D

I used to shoot wedding photography but have ben out of the business for years. Does Canon, or another business hold a workshop of some kind to learn the technology of the 50D and train on recent advanced in the digital scene including post-processing? I am located in South Orange County but willing to travel. Thanks!!

Canon has a few options for you including the Canon Digital Learning Center or the Canon Live Learning Workshops. But you can also just register for photography course at a local Junior College. The courses I took have stuck with me for most of my photographic life.

Derrick Story’s book The Digital Photography Pocket Guide is a good place to start. Then, there’s podcasts like the Daily Photo Tips with Chris Marquardt. Joining communities like Flickr can be beneficial as you post your pictures there and solicit feedback. You learn a lot that way. But in the end, you learn by doing, so take a LOT of pictures. You’ll feel it in your gut when you get a good picture.
