Turn it off, turn it back on again. Cycle it on/off several times. If there's a lens error, your lens may be out of alignment. But a more common indicator of lens error is using underpowered AA batteries. Your camera really needs high energy AAs with an 'mAh' of at least 2500. Anything below that (and alkalines are) will cause lens errors.
