This depends on several things, and is mostly dependent on the size of the memory card you use as well as the setting of the pictures you're taking. I don't believe these take SDHC, so the largest card you can buy is 2GB, which with standard pictures will store between 500-1000 images.

Or, are you referring to over the lifetime of the camera or from charge to charge? This camera is too old to take SDHC, so I think the largest card you can get for it is 1GB. Maybe 2GB if the firmware has been updated. Not sure on that. But here is the capacity figures from Canonusa.com:
