How to change shutter delay on indoor photos?

Some how the shutter does NOT delay when taking photos outdoors, I must keep pressing the shutter button to get photos to take indoors? How do I adjust this feature?

Your camera is automatically adjusting for the lower light indoors. The shutter needs to be open longer to get the right amount of light through the lens for the shot. I would recommend setting it at 400 ISO to allow more light in that way too.

Thanks.........I'll give that a try, There is so much info, sometimes conflicting about ISO settings that it can get confusing especially when it took long enough to get used to ASA speeds in 35mm.
