Hi there,
This question comes up a lot- something is sticking inside the camera. Are you having problems with the lens or shutter not opening/ closing as they should?
The problem has to do with an internal pin mechanism around the lens. The camera can't tell if the lens is where it should be so it asks you to power on then off again. This is probably best repaired by a professional although some people suggest that a firm tap in the right area will fix it. Here's a thread about it:
