have new batteries, but the camera doesn't stay on when i take a picture what is the problem

i put new batteries in the camera double a and the 3v cr2016, but the camera doesn't stay on. i own the canon powershot a300

Hmm, I am sorry to say that it sounds like that is a connection malfunction. The only real way to get that fixed is to bring it to a camera shop or send it back to Canon. Hopefully you are still under warranty.

This problem can also arise when you use the el-cheapo style of batteries available in bulk from discount stores. Always use top quality batteries or the rechargeable NiCd batteries in your camera.
