No photos come up

I have a A300 when i take photos, all i get is a black photo. Is the lens stuffed?

Hmm, is the lens uncovered? It sounds like you have a dead sensor sadly. This is a fairly old camera so it might be worth an upgrade instead of having a repair job done. Has it takes non black photos before? Or did you just purchase the camera?

Know this post is old, but this may help others who have this problem. This sounds like a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info.
