New to digital world, but seems like good value

I am pleased with this product. I have had a chance to use it in snow, at the beach and in the mountains, not to mention the fog of San Francisco.

I haven't gotten used to all the features, which might make my photos better. But all scenes worked out well, including city night shots. At first I thought the zoom wasn't any good, but once I downloaded the pics to my computer I was very happy with the quality. Friends have commented on the quality of shots, too.

Cons: I find the shutter time is too slow, missing opportunities, and battery life is short. Also, when you use the zoom, especially in dark settings, it turns out somewhat fuzzy.

However, its well worth the price and the software isn't hard to get through. But maybe that's because I actually do have a recent university degree. Heehee.
