My camera will not power on, I opened it and found that the white flat wire leading to the power button is pulled off, How to fix?

Bought this camera in late '05 so the warranty is out of the question, I noticed that my camera was not turning on when I pressed the power button. I opened it up to see if there was something wrong, Again warranty is gone so if I can't fix it then I guess I am screwed.
Anyway the flat white wire leading to the power button has come off its place, Like it is suppose to lay flat against it. I tried pressing it down and powering it on, But it still will not work (tried new batteries too). Can I buy a power button or is there nothing I can do?

You could try buying a power button... but I don't think this is your problem. Your best bet is to solder the wire back to where you think it should be (you should see a small metal dot where the wire once lay). The solder is used to conduct electricity, which you probably aren't doing by just touching the wire there. Also, keep in mind that you could have pulled the wire off while opening the camera... and that may not be what's wrong at all. I'd take it to a camera repair shop, if its just a soldering issue, they can probably do it for you for $10-20.
