every time i turn on my A530 it says memory card error please help

my camera is a Cannon Power Shot A530 and the memory card is a 1.0GB miniSD

Well, memory cards can fail. Try another card and see if you can duplicate the error If so, a repair is required. If not, then you can try running a file recovery utility to reformat the recover the card, but chances are, it would fail again sooner, rather than later. May be wiser just to get a new card.

I have the same problem. i just bought the card and it says "memory card error" i use the card on my phone and on another camera and it works fine on those. just not my canon a530. is there a part i have to change or get repaired?
