Nice camera!
(Pat - 10/30/06)I'm using my A540 to take insurance photos, professionally. It works well in outdoor daylight, where the optical viewfinder is a plus. I also take indoor pics, and those have also turned out well. The camera's flash won't be able to fill a dark room (like a rock concert someone was complaining about), but it's quite adequate for normal photos. I like the AA battery compartment and handgrip, which makes it easy to hold the camera, unlike smaller cameras. The SD card is a good feature for me, as my laptop has an SD card socket.
